Islington 2010 will begin a window replacement project this fall. You will need to prepare for the construction but not right away.  Wait and you will be informed when to start preparations.

How to Prepare

It goes without saying that you need to remove all window coverings, and the hardware too if possible. Those with stippled ceilings should use caution especially if it seems crumbly. If in doubt, leave it for the abatement experts.

Move furniture away from the window areas in the livingroom, den, and bedrooms – 4 to 5 feet if possible, and protect everything with dustcovers. It may be wise to remove wall art or cover it to protect from wind and dust.

Preparations by the Construction Team

The contractors will also prepare the site to avoid any damage or excess dust.  They will use drop cloths, dust barriers, and floor protection.
