Islington 2000 is looking suitably festive these days thanks to the combined efforts of staff and many residents who have generously volunteered countless busy hours.  Make sure to look around you and admire the outdoor lights, the decorated entryways and common areas, and especially the toy train set up in the recreation centre.

Also please remember the less fortunate among us and give what you can to fill the food drive boxes.

Our Oktoberfest party last night was a big success, as usual.  Click here to see the photos.

Too bad we had to move both events indoors as the weather wasn’t promising either day.

But never mind – the  tables were arranged in the party rooms, and in the fireside lounge and beyond.  We made a dance floor by pushing aside the upholstered furniture.  Everyone was treated to great food, wonderful door prizes, live music for dancing and good cheer all around.

A sincere thank you goes out to everyone involved in organizing the barbecues!

Saying a fond farewell to a founding member of our pool exercise group who is leaving Islington 2000.  We wish her much happiness in her new home.
