On the first Monday afternoon during the months of October through June, a gathering of readers meets in the party room to talk about a book.
Each spring the nine books for the following year are chosen, by vote, from a list of books suggested by club members.
Each month different people volunteer to supply tea and cookies.
And at the meetings each of us submits one or two questions about the book of the month. The questions go into a bowl, are chosen one at a time at random, and read out aloud to spark conversation. It’s always a wonder how much discussion, both serious and light-hearted, ensues.
Watch the bulletin board for reminders. All are welcome.
